GOD & FASHION DESIGNING

As a fashion designer, while I was trying to create, cut and make an outfit- this whole illustration played out in my head and I’d like to share.

Think about a new born baby as a new piece of fabric either satin, cotton, crepe, linen, stretchy, jean, velvet, net, chiffon, leather; every fabric with it’s own importance. How do I mean? The way you can’t successfully use net in place of a cotton fabric is the same way you can’t use jean fabric where velvet is needed. Every fabric came with it’s different texture for a reason and in the hands of a very brilliant fashion designer and stylist, a beautiful outfit will be produced with the right combination of fabrics.

As a lady or a man, have you ever wanted to make a style and the designer tells you it’s a particular fabric that can work perfectly for that style? Such that if you insist on getting another type; you get to join the league of "What I ordered vs What I got"πŸ˜‚---Why do you think things like that happen?

Might be the designer who was not brilliant enough to realise the fabric proposed cannot make the style chosen for the desired result, or the fabric isn’t best for the body frame of the "wearer", or both of them do not just know what works bestπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚. Because those pictures can be so hilarious.B

Anyway, back to the matter, when you use the right fabric for an outfit, it comes out so perfectly. Have you ever wondered how you just know what fabric works for what sometimes even without being a designer? This is due to experience--what you’ve seen and touched to know which works best.

Another thing that I find fascinating about fashion designing is how you can picture the end of a cloth by just seeing a simple 4 or 6 yards of fabric. To now top it all up, how we cut it all up just to stitch it all back for a very beautiful outfit. This is because we saw the end from the beginning. We get to see the end even before attempting to cut it, the potential in the fabric is seen by just setting eyes on it.

This is literally what God does to us all, we are just all simple and straight 4, 6, 10, 20 yards etc of fabric in different textures with different names with different potentials from birth. God sees all this even right from your mothers womb and he then cuts you open (prunes you) as you grow just so that your potential; all that is within you is seen by the world and admired and then the glory then returns to God because He’s the designer — just as people who designed your outfit are admired because of how much artistry and thought that went into that outfit.

If only our fabrics could cry with the way we cut them upπŸ˜‚, but they can’t, so they just submit to the designer. Just the way you trust the designer to give a good outcome with that fabric is how you should trust God to make a beautiful "outfit" out of your life.

Do you know the most beautiful thing about it all? As long as that Fabric cooperates with the designer, all the designer has in mind to make with that fabric will be done. As long as you let go and let God, all of His desires will be made manifest in your life. God will use your life to brag about who He is.....ohhh how sweetπŸ˜‹πŸ˜‹πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜Š
